This is a Full Time Job
Disney Entertainment's News Groups & Networks team is looking for a proven communications executive knowledgeable about the content measurement landscape, and capable of crafting and pitching narratives for entertainment brands based on multiplatform ratings, data and research trends. This position will access and analyze Nielsen ratings data daily and generate press materials that highlight key successes for ABC series, as well as work with show publicity, marketing, and scheduling teams to identify and pitch big-picture, data-driven programming stories. They will also work closely with the Research, Data and Analytics team on high-level executive presentations and develop communications strategies for relevant industry trade associations and conferences.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze, ideate and develop publicity plans for television series based on linear and multiplatform ratings reports
• Maintain strong relationships with ratings reporters and entertainment trade journalists
• Partner with Research to identify and develop key stories that strategically elevate our position in the marketplace
• Generate senior-level executive talking points and presentation materials
• Collaborator partnering with stakeholders across Research, DTC, Marketing, Programming and Comms teams.
Basic Qualifications
• Deep understanding of legacy and evolving content measurement solutions in the marketplace
• Working knowledge of NNTV and NPower
• Proficiency with all Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
• High level of interest in broadcast TV landscape preferred
• Familiarity with multi-platform, social media and digital ratings a plus
• Must be able to work occasional weekends
• Excel macro familiarity a plus
• A proven track record of successfully placing stories that highlight programming successes
• Working knowledge of relevant industry conferences and the ability to identify opportunities for executives to participate in
• Strong writer and communicator
• Self-motivated
• Strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
• Curiosity driven and proactive in identifying actionable insights
• Possess the business and analytical acumen necessary to interpret and anticipate needs
• Fluency with data intelligence/analytics tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Alteryx).
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $180,100 to $241,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
