Job Description
Disney's Direct to Consumer team oversees the Hulu and Disney+ streaming businesses within Disney Entertainment helping to bring The Walt Disney Company's best-in-class storytelling to fans and families everywhere. The Disney+ Programming and Content Curation team is responsible for leading content planning, scheduling, on-service merchandising, slate management, and programming insights that contribute to a cohesive strategic content approach for the service.
What You Will Do
Disney+ Content Programming is responsible for ensuring the Disney+ and Star+ global frameworks drive audience engagement and discovery with local relevance. The Senior Content Programming Manager position will be responsible for operationalizing merchandising strategies and workflow across services to drive audience engagement and discovery. This position will report to the Senior Manager, Content Programming.
• Lead and support Disney+ global content programming, promotion, retention, and engagement
• Collaborating and operationalize global, regional, and territorial editorial merchandising and promotion strategies.
• Build, check, and publish programming within the CMS and other toolsets.
• Drive process improvement and build scalable solutions to improve operational efficiency.
• Identify audience programming gaps and audience segment opportunities.
• Build high-impact, curated programming events that apply The Walt Disney Company brands and franchises.
• Partner with operational teams to ensure content and asset availability supports merchandising strategies.
• Partner with product on testing new features in CMS to improve guest experience.
• Partner with programming optimization on testing needs, and testing implementation as needed.
• Partner with programming data & insights to act on findings.
• Leverage service, market, and behavior data, as well as audience research to drive effective programming strategies.
• Lead and support the career development of junior team members.
• Sustain existing projects or leading projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Skills
• 5+ years of experience in digital media, programming strategy or operations.
• Deep understanding and working background of digital media platforms, including hands-on management of web, app, streaming, and/or connected devices.
• Passion and insight into The Walt Disney Company segments, brands and franchises, the elements that define them, and expertise to build further audience engagement.
• Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
• Meticulous attention to detail

• Superior organizational, prioritization, and time management skills; ability to complete multiple, high-priority projects, with a keen attention to detail.
• Open to thinking outside of traditional models.
• Highly developed written and verbal communications skills, and proven ability to communicate effectively with senior management, staff, and external research professionals.
• Can balance multiple projects in varying stages of development.
• Highly organized with excellent follow through
• Proven track record to work across a matrixed organization while also able to self-motivate.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
• International experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus.
• Streaming experience a plus
Education
• Bachelor's degree
The hiring range for this position in California is $102,000 to $136,700 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
