About The Role
The Disney Streaming Analytics Content & Engagement Core data team empowers business partners with tools and insights to explore, analyze, and monitor content metadata and engagement behavior across the Disney+ and Hulu platforms. Our team's expertise is in the design, optimization, and implementation of content metadata and engagement data models, dashboards, and reports that enable stakeholders to make key business decisions and steer the strategic direction of the company.
We're seeking a technical Data Analyst to join the team. Collaborating with planning & analysis, finance, research, data engineering, and business teams, you will be the subject matter expert for all SVOD content on Disney+ and Hulu. The right person for this role thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves problem-solving, and is a good communicator and a self-starter.
Responsibilities
• Creation of a Single Source of Truth: Bring analysts and stakeholders together from across the company to define, standardize, scale, and govern metrics.
• Partnership and Communication: Collaborate with data engineering and business stakeholders to ensure data quality, integrity, and availability for analysis.
• Reporting and Performance: Own end-to-end development of data products by defining business needs, designing & optimizing ETLs, and building dashboards and data visualizations.
Minimum Qualifications
• A Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, MIS, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related degree
• 3+ years of analytical experience, ideally specifically in analytics and/or engineering
• Mastery of SQL and some experience with Python/R or other statistical programming languages
• Expertise with data visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, Chartio, etc.
• Experience developing and maintaining optimized tables for reporting through ETLs
• Exceptional spoken and written communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong analytical and technical skills to troubleshoot issues, analyze the cause, quickly come-up with possible solutions, document the changes, and communicate organizational impact
• Intense drive for delivering exceptional products, detail-oriented, curiosity for the unknown
Nice to haves
• Prior experience in Media/Entertainment is a plus

The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles is $95,300 - $127,800 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
