Job Summary:
The Marketing Analytics team is seeking a Data Analyst to support our core marketing measurement, automation and reporting needs. The Analyst will collaborate closely with Disney+ Marketing, Marketing Science, Data Engineering, Data Product, Data Science, and Finance teams. Their focus will be on developing tools, optimizations, and key business insights to propel Disney+'s growth. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for both paid media digital landscapes and a deep understanding of each step in the marketing journey.
Responsibilities
• Create, deliver and continuously improve our business measurement solutions
• Analyze and report key data quality health KPIs through regular metric monitoring and revise as needed as the number of datasets and critical systems expand
• Use internal and external analytics tools, SQL, and scripting languages to access and analyze multivariate data
• Translate complex reporting needs into technical specifications, including calculations, custom groups, parameters, filtering criteria and/or aggregation
• Build and automate reports and dashboards that provide insights into business measurement and effectiveness
• Understand the systems and business processes that populate critical systems with data
• Build intuitive presentations, interfaces, infographics and visualizations to tell stories with data
• Provide ongoing reporting and analysis to inform and support business, product and marketing decisions
• Partner with our Marketing Science, BI, Product, Engineering and QE team to ensure data quality, and troubleshooting relevant reporting metrics when needed
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in business, economics, mathematics, statistics, computer science, or related field
• 3+ years of hands-on analytical work experience and proficient with SQL and Python/R
• Experience in manipulating large data sets, interpreting data trends and using a multitude of disparate data sources and tools
• Familiarity with documenting the data requirements, data strategy, data rules (standardization, cleanse, and validation)
• Strong analytical and technical skills to troubleshoot issues, analyze the cause, quickly come up with the possible solutions, document the changes, and communicate organizational impact
• Familiarity with data exploration and data visualization tools like Tableau or Looker. It's a plus if you can share a portfolio of clear, intuitive and insightful visualizations
• Ability to manage multiple work streams with demonstrated ability to organize and schedule work effectively and deliver against deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in the streaming media industry or other subscription-based service
• Experience working with project management tools such as Atlassian JIRA, Airtable
• Familiarity with data platforms and applications such as Databricks, Jupyter, Snowflake
• Demonstrated experience in the paid digital media including ad serving, tracking, and reporting tools including, Google Campaign Manager, media platforms (DV360, Google Search, Meta, etc.)

The hiring range for this position in New York is $99,900 - 133,900 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
