Full Time Job
Human Resource Specialist serves as the main point of contact for client questions and business concerns including but not limited to HR policies, processes, benefits, actions, and staffing needs. This role is expected to assess, prioritize and act on client requests as needed and communicate needs that require additional support to the appropriate partners. This role will also be responsible for assisting with organization and position management for multiple client groups. Finally, the Human Resource Specialist is also responsible for proactively providing support to Human Resources leadership with key projects.
Responsibilities
• Provides information and guidance in the administration of HR related policies and procedures for multiple client groups.
• Leverage HR tools and resources to triage issues and to escalate as needed
• Respond to client and HR partner requests with regard to reporting, position management, organizational issues, and general questions
• Identifies, informs and/or instructs in the creation of organizational structures, reporting relationships, and hierarchies in SAP
• Responsible for monitoring the openings, status, tracking, and auditing of client headcount
• Proactively document, maintain, and organize area practices and protocols related to HR policy administration and standards
• Maintains strong cross functional relationships with HR functional partners such as Compensation, Org Management, Recruitment, Benefits, Global HR Operations, Cast Activities, and Worklife initiatives
• Provide high-quality, timely and professional client service and follow through with clients, executives, and administrative teams
• Adapt to different client groups and develop a deep understanding of nuances, processes, and internal/external factors affecting process/business
• Remain current on changes to HR policies and processes, and communicate changes to appropriate audiences
• Connect and transform data from multiple HR systems into actionable analysis, dashboards, and reporting that support the business needs of the organization
• Organizational chart management for client areas (when applicable)
• Administration and assistance of employee development offerings such as lunch & learns, partnership on town halls, new hire speaker series, etc.
• Create reports and/or presentations that discuss the findings of a research effort or project – be able to present information and show key findings to a variety of leaders, peers, clients and partners
Basic Qualifications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to positively confront issues and resolve conflict
• Ability to develop strong relationships at all levels within the organization
• Strong service orientation (open, inviting, respectful and courteous)
• Proven ability to work with confidential information– while exercising sound judgment and decision making
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly ambiguous environment; flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
• Proactive and self-motivated with the capability to work autonomously and make independent decisions to meet deliverables with minimal oversight
• Experience exporting data out of a system and manipulate data through MS Excel and the use of pivot tables
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, SAP, Outlook
Preferred Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years' experience in an HR or customer/client service oriented professional role
• Understanding of Disney HR systems (e.g. SAP), policies and processes (e.g. contained within D Tools HR)
• Drive process improvement initiatives for client businesses to enhance visibility and accessibility to relevant information
• Passionate about continuous improvement with a strong desire to continue learning in order to stay relevant to business changes and industry trends
• Technical / analytical aptitude to support reporting work and tracking efforts; use of Tableau
Required Education
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business Management, Human Resources Management or related discipline.
