As a leader in the DCL Recruitment Team, you will provide leadership to a high performing team of recruiters. Strategic planning, strong relationship skills and collaboration are key as DCL doubles its crew and officer base while bringing out 3 more ships in the next 5 years.
Responsibilities:
Your Role:
• Consult the Business – Meet with business leaders to learn business insights and hiring needs; Review data analytics and provide storytelling & insights to your team and business leaders to inform and influence recruitment strategy; Be a talent advisor to the business.
• Develop Recruitment Growth Strategies – Identify growth hiring needs and partner closely with the Recruitment Marketing and Insights team to develop effective strategies that build diverse talent pipelines to meet business needs today and in the future. Ensure your team utilizes and engages with multiple systems and strategies to create a layered approach to their line of business strategies.
• Communicate & Collaborate – Develop and deliver clear & timely communication to your team, across the DCL HR team and with TA partners. Develop and cultivate relationships with Procurement Allies (hiring agents) from around the world so that DCL is always top of mind as an employer of choice.
• Lead a Global Team – Develop, motivate, inspire and hold a highly motivated team accountable for the delivery of successful recruitment solutions. Coach and mentor your team through on going and thoughtful feedback focused on development and improving performance.
Basic Qualifications:
What You Bring to the Team:
• Lead, coach and develop a nimble, flexible, geographically dispersed Recruiting organization supporting both shipboard, island and shore side recruitment from entry level to executive-level Leaders and Officers
• Proven ability to drive consistent processes and full life-cycle recruitment experience
• Provide the organization day-to-day business direction, remove barriers, enhance communication, and simplify the execution of work while ensuring a team of Recruiters can ebb and flow to the ever changing needs of the business
• Proactively focus on effective client service and collaboration with DCL Operations, Labor Scheduling, Legal, Compensation & Benefits, Human Resources, HRIS, Risk Management, and Corporate & Crew Travel
• Understand existing recruitment markets and identify potential new markets; monitor, analyze and communicate external talent market trends to ensure DCL remains contemporary in how we acquire, lead, manage and engage current and future prospective employees
• Build strong industry relationships
• Proven ability to develop strategic plans and measures of success
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (oral and written) to small and large groups and the ability to interact with all levels of leadership
• Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information
• The ability to build & maintain collaborative relationships
• Ability to effectively prioritize and balance workloads across a team; proven performance management
• Proven organizational, prioritization and time management skills
• Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills
• Social media activist able to promote the Disney company including DCL
Preferred Qualifications:
How You Stand Out:
• Knowledge and understanding of Disney HR policy, Maritime and International employment laws and procedures
• Prior experience in cruise industry recruitment
