Creative Content Localization Supervisor (Dubbing)

The Creative Supervisor will be a KEY Brand Liaison between Post-Production and the global localization organizations, providing direction, information, and materials to assist in the completion and delivery of all facets of international localization. Candidate will be involved in determining the creative direction for quality and cost-effective dubbing of our feature films, including both live-action and animated titles. This will consist of identifying and documenting all dubbing challenges, including translation challenges, casting, text inserts, music strategy and legal clearances.
Their mission is to ensure that the local versions reflect the original filmmaker intent and that each product is locally relevant. This includes but is not limited to Theatrical, Television, Streaming Service content, trailers, promos, and all other ancillary products.
The Walt Disney Studios, Disney Character Voices International is searching for a Creative Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
• Act as key global contact and liaison to post-production
• Lead organization to develop and implement creative strategy for upcoming titles
• Review domestic reference materials and give guidance to team members and local studio vendors on localization approach
• Work with outside vendors to produce and edit technical and creative briefs of films currently in production to aid international dubbing
• Communicate creative ideas in a clear manner to non-native English speakers to ensure that the original creative intent is not lost in translation
• Ensure creative consistency across all products
• Make certain that all localization meets brand expectations
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with strategic partner/studios
Basic Qualifications:
• 3 years of prior localization project management experience, specializing in dubbing or subtitle localization
• Strong project management skills & ability to track multiple projects at a time
• Multilingual skills is a big plus
• Working knowledge of industry standard localization tools
• Experience working in a high-volume production environment with multiple simultaneous projects and tight deadlines.
• Ability to multi task
• Ability to work cross-functionally with other departments to achieve common goals
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in the voice over recording process
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills
