Manager, Educational Resource Group (Disney Junior)
Job Summary:
This position will support the Vice President with work across divisions and teams, including DCP, Publishing, Interactive, Press, Marketing, New Media to advise and consult on education and curriculum in product, digital platforms, outreach and communications.
Responsibilities:
• Moderate groups for educational testing on all series.
• Collaborate with Executive Director & Coordinator of Education Research to develop testing protocol
• Manage community outreach including agreements with schools and liaison with administrators and staff
• Supervise Coordinator to facilitate and organize participant consent forms and participants at school sites
• Coordinate with production the creation of testing materials and educational stimuli
• Synthesize research findings/feedback and prepare written reports
• Assist in communication with DJ Original Programming executives and series producers, writers and directors on testing results and educational implementation
• Support Executive Director with communication to Disney Junior Original Programming group on curriculum development and implementation for all series.
• Assist in creation of curriculum guides for each series inclusive of educational goals and standards
• Coordinate review and distribution of pitch materials, premises, scripts, storyboards, animation reels as relates to the communication of educational goals for series in development and in current production
Must stay current in the field of educational research for young children in order to advise on the following:
• Educational standards
• New media/technology advances, trends, new platforms available for young children
• Social, economic and cultural landscape shifts and trends
• Current academics and related research, articles and findings
• National and International educational, media and game conferences
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of educational research for children ages 2 .
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
