Part Time Unpaid Internship
Job Summary:
The Engagement Marketing Intern will explore and support multiple aspects of consumer marketing for Disney Channel and Disney Junior. Working across the marketing and social teams, the Intern will contribute innovative ideas, provide executional support, and deliver three completed marketing projects to drive marketing excellence:
• Develop a competitive analysis of kid's entertainment content and marketing campaigns
• Research and recommend potential 3rd party promotional partners
• Develop a uniform system for organizing social shoot footage from initial request to distribution and storage
Responsibilities:
CAMPAIGN PLANNING
• Participate in campaign specific meetings and discussions. Assist with meeting documents and follow-up notes.
• Assist with campaign planning materials including maintaining campaign calendars, one-sheets, and decks
• Assist with the scheduling off-shoot key meetings led by Marketing and confirm attendees as needed
• Input on alignment on workflow and processes across campaigns
• Project to own: Develop a competitive analysis of competitive series and campaigns
PAID MEDIA
• Participate in the development of Paid Media campaign strategy
• Participate in vendor kick-off calls and timelines, and provide notes and follow-ups
PARTNERSHIPS, PROMOTIONS, EVENTS
• Project to own: Research and recommend potential 3rd party promotional partners
• Assist with events as needed
SOCIAL CONTENT PRODUCTION & CURATION
• Assist in post scheduling
• Assist in trend-related or timely post ideation
• Work in Adobe Premiere to build out string-outs, assemblies and rough edits of the content material
• Generate cut-downs of final videos for social
• Sync and manage media
• Assist in the creation of graphic assets/thumbnails
Project to own: Social Content Production
• Develop a uniform system for social shoot footage - tracking requests, organizing footage, and determining how it is stored
• Reorganize the social drive
• Managing delivery of assets to MICK-E and backups
DC Animation
• Develop a social strategy for Owl House and sustain
• Manage calendars and scheduling for animation content in partnership with Coordinator
Basic Qualifications:
• Strong interest in Disney Channel/Disney Junior and kid's entertainment.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Proven skills utilizing MS Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and the ability to work in a MAC and PC environment.
• Interest in entertainment marketing.
• Interest in social media content and management.
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects in a fast paced environment; strong organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to be flexible in organizational approach.
• Self-starter mindset, able to work autonomously as well as in a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
• At the time of the internship-undergraduate student entering their Junior or Senior year, or a recent graduate within six months of graduation
• Some knowledge of transcribing/proxies/codecs and ability to troubleshoot issues that can arise on the technical side of post-production
• Some experience and proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop
• Knowledge of After Effects is a plus

Additional Information:
Internship Eligibility:
• All students must have unrestricted work authorization
• All students must be at least 18 years old
• You must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class – OR – be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months - OR - be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program in order to qualify for this internship.
• All candidates must be available from September through December
• All candidates must be willing to work up to 40 hours/week
• All students must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship
• All students must provide a consistent, reliable work schedule during the session
