Coordinator - Nonlinear Scheduling (Disney Channels Worldwide)
Job Summary:
The Nonlinear Scheduling Coordinator, Platform Strategy is responsible for the creation and maintenance of schedules and metadata for Disney Channel, Disney Junior and Disney XD video content, art assets and metadata across nonlinear platforms. This position will work cross-functionally across the organization and requires the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time, extreme attention-to-detail as well as an interest in the digital TV landscape and children's entertainment.
Responsibilities:
• Create, update and maintain Disney Channel, Disney Junior and/or Disney XD long form and short form video schedules across all current and future digital platforms including, DisneyNOW, set-top-box VOD, YouTube, EST, SVOD, Disney.com
• Distribute information regarding all schedules to key stakeholders in a timely manner so that delivery requirements are met
• Source, create or cutdown descriptive logline metadata associated with all schedules above and manage metadata within internal systems and departments
• Submit programming artwork requests to the Marketing Design team and manage all deadlines ensuring that deliveries are on track and all key stakeholders are kept informed of any changes
• Ensure that all graphic assets available on the digital platforms follow the current brand guidelines and meet the current business needs of DCWW
• Work closely with the research team to monitor performance of our content across the multi-platform landscape and utilize that information to inform future strategies
• Manage the entry of and upkeep of all schedules and pertinent metadata through our nonlinear scheduling system, BeBanjo
• Identify, create and route change memos as necessary to reflect programming shifts and video delivery inaccuracies.
• Coordinate with Affiliate Sales & Marketing to schedule any video content needed for specific affiliate campaigns
• Be responsible for the auditing and maintenance of content on various platforms post-launch
• Attend Planning and Strategy meetings to discuss content roll-outs
• Update department documentation (windowing plans, presentations, competitive) as needed
• Assist the Director and Sr. Manager with additional tasks as necessary as well as serve as back-up for other department coordinators when needed
Basic Qualifications:
• 1 years Television Programming/Scheduling experience (Linear or Digital)
• Extreme attention-to-detail
• Proactive and independent thinking
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
• Strong creative writing skills
• Effective communication skills in both verbal and written form
• Ability to build and manage relationships
• Ability to learn new systems quickly
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Keynote
Preferred Qualifications:
• Multi-Platform Programming/Digital Media experience
• Knowledge of multi-platform landscape
• Interest in children's programming
• Experience with database/content management systems
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree
