Full Time Unpaid Internship
Labor Relations Internship, DATG (JD) - Summer 2019
Job Summary:
We have an exciting Labor Relations opportunity available this summer, based out of our CA office.
Responsibilities:
A day in the life…
• Assisting the department in preparing for and attending collective bargaining negotiations
• Conducting legal research and writing memorandum on matters involving labor law
• Assisting with handling of grievances or arbitrations under collective bargaining agreements
Basic Qualifications:
What you bring to the role…
• Pursuing a Juris Doctorate (JD) degree and currently enrolled at an accredited law school
• In or recently completed your 1L year at the time of the internship
• A focus in entertainment law and/or completed several entertainment related classes (e.g., contracts, intellectual property).
Preferred Qualifications:
• Media/entertainment studio/network experience
Additional Information:
• All candidates must be eligible to work in the US
• All candidates must be at least 18 years old
• All candidates must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class – OR – be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months - OR - be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program in order to qualify for this internship
• All candidates must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship
• All candidates must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session
Program Dates:
• All candidates must be available during the months of May/June to August/September for the Summer internship program.
• All candidates must be willing to work 40 hours/week
