Job Summary:
The Senior Manager of Branding and Design/Creative Services is responsible for managing Branding & Design projects from conception to completion, obtaining proper approvals and ensuring timely delivery of material. Key skills needed are production management, strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects at the same time.
Responsibilities:
• Project manage all design phases of production. With a main Focus on Key Art production (pre-production through Out of home delivery), digital asset creation, day to day Internal ABC Brand requests, and 360 initiatives.
• Create project overview – production schedules, deliverables, assignments & budget estimates.
• Evaluate and recommend potential agencies and freelancers
• Work with the Executive Director to assign projects
• Helps to manage vendors, in house designers, show production companies.
• Effectively communicates policies and procedures to freelancers and/or vendors as needed
• Responsible for vendor contract requests and invoice submissions
• Create and manage production schedules for each project
• Ensure internal teams and outside vendors meet deadlines and projects stay within budget
• Route all creative material for approval/notes in a timely manner, in the proper order, to all appropriate parties / network departments (Programming, PR, Photo, Marketing, Creative)
• Track, manage and project costs against department budgets
• Work with Coordinator to update and manage the database of current and completed projects.
• Develop and maintain relationships with outside vendors, i.e., freelance artists and production companies.
Basic Qualifications:
• Strong computer skills and understanding of latest OSX operating systems
• Excellent organization, communication and time management skills
• Result-oriented and detail-focused with a passion for the creative process
• Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing with external vendors and internal creative team.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Consistent follow-through and ability to traffic communication and ensure accurate and complete delivery of projects
• Expertise in basic tools: Word, Excel, Outlook, Power point and Keynote software. Basic Photoshop and In Design also preferred.
• Prior network and/or agency experience preferred.
• On-air and Print production experience
• Ability to work well in a team situation and with clients, working under pressure, and managing multiple stages of production simultaneously.
