Job Summary:
This position will oversee multiple technology initiatives focused on deploying new facilities within ABC News and take a leadership role in accomplishing those tasks. The candidate should have significant experience in the overall architecture of a broadcast plant, from the fundamental underlying power requirements to all the technology required to construct studio and transmission systems. The candidate will manage all engineering aspects of the deployment from design, procurement, build, integration, cutover and documentation. This will include heavy interaction with both the client and any other resources necessary to complete the job. The candidate should have significant knowledge and experience in design and implementation of traditional broadcast/video systems including cameras, switchers, routers, audio/video processing gear, consoles and intercom systems as well as knowledge and experience with broadcast based IT technologies and workflows such as data routers, switches, servers and security methods. Experience in deploying systems in high-paced broadcast environments is a requirement and deployment of audio/video systems over IP is a significant plus.

• Document the project
Basic Qualifications:
• Significant Broadcast systems design experience in all audio/video aspects
• Significant project management experience at a senior level
• Expert knowledge of digital video and audio standards as well as IT networking protocols, standards and computer operating systems.
• Minimum 10 years experience in the media technology industry.
• Strong interpersonal skills as well as strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Project oversight and ability to work under deadlines to complete projects in a multi-tasking environment
• Must be proficient in Auto Cad and/or Visio as well as other documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
CCNA, Microsoft server admin and VMW
Required Education
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology preferred
