Job Summary:
Disney ABC Television Group Digital Media continues to develop strategic partnerships in technology sectors such as gaming, media, digital content, advertising, and social media to deliver a broad range of content directly to fans and to create new revenue and marketing opportunities for Disney ABC Television Group. The critically acclaimed WATCH apps provide users with easy access to the latest content from our networks and channels and have over 14 million downloads.
The Program Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight, coordination, communication, and scheduling of project and program-level initiatives for Digital Media. This position requires proven project management experience (including prioritizing, estimating, scheduling, and resourcing), familiarity with digital technologies, and experience managing multiple projects and cross-functional teams. Successful candidates must be proactive leaders, detail-oriented, and able to clearly communicate and coordinate tasks, schedules, dependencies, risks, issues and processes to a variety of business, creative, and technical audiences.
Responsibilities:
• Works with stakeholders, partners and delivery teams to plan and execute projects and programs
• Leads effort to identify, coordinate and track project schedules, tasks and dependencies
• Facilitates meetings and ceremonies to align delivery teams on assignments and priorities
• Establishes and maintains project communications through use of tracking and status reporting tools
• Identifies and manages project/program issues and risks to facilitate decision making
• Ensures key roles and responsibilities are defined and holds functional managers accountable for their teams' deliverables
• Ensures the use of best practices and applies lessons learned from previous projects in support of continuous improvement
Basic Qualifications:
• A minimum of 3 years of digital project management or related business experience
• Must be capable of managing, tracking and troubleshooting multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment with cross-functional teams, vendors and partners
• Self-starter that can drive multiple work streams inter-departmentally with minimal guidance/oversight
• Ability to develop project schedules, communicate deadlines, and enforce budgets and project milestones
• Familiar with project management and documentation tools
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and work in a matrixed organization
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in project management in digital media or related business experience
• Experience managing product development teams for mobile apps, connected TV devices, and web
• Experience in video playback and streaming technologies (e.g. HLS)
• Experience with Jira and Confluence, or similar tools
• Television industry experience
Required Education
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Preferred Education
• Agile Scrum certification preferred
