Manager - Office of the President (ABC Studios)
Job Summary:
ABC Studios seeks a qualified candidate for Manager to support the Office of the President, ABC Studios. This position operates as a Chief of Staff, working directly with the President to efficiently and effectively manage the various elements of studio strategy for the Office of the President.
Responsibilities:
• Develop studio strategy in disruptive television landscape. Track studio overall deals, talent targets, competitive project orders, business models, and trend data. Provide analysis for senior management. Build Long Range Plans and Annual Operating Plans. Help oversee studio business at large as well as marketing, branding, PR, and social media efforts.
• Shadow and provide feedback on all material studio president sees. Participate in 16 broadcast pilots, 5 cable/streaming pilots, over 26 current series, and over 100 pieces of broadcast and cable/streaming development projects at over 30 networks.
• Continue building Talent Initiative to increase and organize studio executive outreach to talent and producers to build relationships, attract and retain talent. Requires keeping as up to date as studio president on all material and business to act and speak on his behalf when needed.
• Write ad hoc content for studio president and senior management.
• Oversee and manage studio budget in collaboration with studio team. Train extensively in production, business affairs, and studio finance.
• Continue to organize events and manage budgets for studio and talent. Handle charitable events, contributions, and outreach on behalf of the studio.
Basic Qualifications:
• At least 5 years of experience at high-level assistant or coordinator levels in studio creative teams.
• Articulate speaking and writing skills and ability to conduct self skillfully among senior management.
• Eagerness to learn, flexibility and adaptability to keep up with the pace and unpredictability of needs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Keynote.
• Strong knowledge of the TV creative community.
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
