Job Summary:
You will join an innovative and growing team. The newsroom is a fast-paced environment, so be ready to live in a world where each day is different.
Responsibilities:
On any one day you might:
• Develop a new on-boarding process that helps new hires understand and adjust to the social and performance aspects of their jobs
• Research and recommend better communication and information sharing tools and processes across the digital group
• Ensure all backend databases, including SAP, are updated
• Work closely with editorial and business managers to identify efficiencies in team structure and cost management
• Devise a streamlined process for approving and accounting for freelance reporters and producers
• Support content launches on new platforms by establishing new workflows across editorial, product, and broadcast operations
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience working in digital media, consulting, or consumer technology
• Demonstrated ability to inspire and influence executive stakeholders, and drive positive cultural and operational change across a large organization
• Experience leading large, distributed programs, with a proven ability to pay attention to detail while tracking multiple, simultaneous projects under deadline
• Developed problem-solving and project management skills
• Executive-level presentation and communication skills
• Deep passion for creative forms of storytelling and the future of news media
• A collaborative working style with a focus on action and results
• An obsession with efficiency and improving workflows
Required Education
• You have a BA or BS from a four-year accredited college or university.
Preferred Education
• MBA
