Job Summary:
Music Rights and Licensing Department is hiring a Coordinator.
Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support in Music Rights and Licensing department. He/she will obtain, review, file and coordinate distribution of music cue sheets for ABC Network programming. Where applicable, he/she will follow-up with producers -- both within ABC as well as outside production companies to make sure that all paperwork is submitted in a timely fashion and is complete and correct. Cue sheets are then entered (either manually or electronically) into the Soundmouse cue sheet system. Position also requires knowledge of music and ability to research writer, performer, publisher, record label information for music used on the network as well as be ablity to maintain past and present departmental files.
Administrative tasks include supporting the Executive Director and Director of Music Publishing, and other members of the Music Dept. in all facets. He/she will work with the Executive Director throughout the clearance and licensing process. Assist in all areas of music licensing: researching copyright ownership, negotiating publishing and master recording rights, reviewing licensing agreements, administering payments and tracking the process.

Applicants must be:
Independent, proactive, detail oriented, intelligent, good knowledge of computers, interest and knowledge in music publishing and have desire to learn more.

• Intermediate knowledge of computers and MS Office (Excel and advances Word skills)
• interest and knowledge of both commercial music and production libraries
• 1 year of work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
3 years, plus experience working with SAP and Soundmouse systems
Required Education
High School diploma plus music industry experience
Preferred Education
Bachelor's degree
