Full Time Job
The Artist Recruitment Manager will be rebooting the Disney TV Animation artist recruiting department from the ground up creating their own vision and bringing their past experience to the table. This candidate will contribute a strong sense of innovation, always striving to find fresh talent, improving the recruiting process and building a world-class studio. However, the paramount role of this person is being the face of DTVA to the outside world, representing the studio in a positive and enthusiastic manner.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for the placement of top-tier talent, with a targeted emphasis on the Story/Visual Development and Pre-Production areas.
• Build a full cycle recruiting department including sourcing, interviewing, references checking, and negotiation of offers.
• Create, expand and maintain an applicant tracking system. Provide a variety of detailed tracking reports to the Director of Artistic Management and Studio Management and translate how trends are impacting the studio with next steps.
• Team up with Studio Management, Director of Artistic Management, and Recruiting Coordinator to create a more powerful presence on social media as well as participate in developing DTVA's website.
• Partner with Director of Artistic Management and Recruiting Coordinator to further grow and develop DTVA's internship and outreach programs.
• Represent Disney Animation at major conferences and industry events. Ability to attract and bring in new and upcoming talent.
• Work with the Artistic Management team to understand the skills currently within DTVA and where additional skill sets might be needed at the studio.
• Build and maintain supportive/collaborative relationships with hiring managers, Artist Manager and LP's.
• Collaborate with Line Producers and hiring managers to develop robust recruitment strategies and action plans. Advise on interview techniques, candidate selection, compensation packages and industry trends.
• Regularly communicate with hiring managers and other stake holders on search and candidate status.
• Partner with and mentor Recruiting Coordinator in pursuit of department goals.
• Develop a strong relationship with Disney ABC Television and Feature Animation Talent Acquisition leaders, leaning on them for support and guidance as part of a larger talent strategy and focus.
• Engage and develop relationships with recruiting partners in industry organizations and maintain awareness of professional trends and news. Understand overall landscape of studio schedules and how artist availability could be impacted.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3 years of experience in Recruiting role with an emphasis on Story/Visual Development/Pre-Production Animation skill sets.
• Proven ability to evaluate candidate art work and/or technical qualifications.
• Proven ability to effectively manage the recruiting process as well as relationships with hiring managers.
• Strong knowledge of Traditional Animation, CG Animation and/or Visual Effects production.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Experience with databases and/or applicant tracking systems.
• Ability to travel as needed for industry events, recruiting opportunities or school outreach trips.

• Strong consultative and partnering skills. Ability to establish priorities independently, multi-task efficiently, and work with diverse personalities and all levels of management in a high-pressure environment.
• Outstanding customer service skills and ability to develop and foster relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as solid follow-through on multiple projects.
• Positive attitude and ability to be flexible in a non-static environment
• Ability to re-define and execute new processes and workflows in an ever changing environment; demonstrate strategic and out of the box thinking.
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
