Responsibilities
• Work closely with the Digital Marketing Director and Engagement Manager to ensure digital marketing priorities are at the forefront of all planning and decision-making.
• Creating, managing and growing the company’s presence through Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter and other strategically relevant SM and digital properties
• Own the social media calendar and alignment with all the internal stakeholders and do the quality control of all digital content marketing assets.
• Coordinate digital marketing efforts through social media with editorial, product, PR and creative departments to ensure flawless execution of digital marketing plans.
• Achieve high levels of engagement of in our communities and focus on tactics that sustain these beyond program publicity
• Set and track department-specific goals (awareness and performance KPIs) and identify actionable takeaways from analytics
• Management of the relationship with digital agencies when required
Requirements
• 3 years of digital marketing experience.
• Strong communication skills, and comfortable debating the merits of a given idea with multiple stakeholders
• Strong knowledge of social networks and best practices
• Analytical with a comfort in dealing with numbers and reporting.
• Understanding of paid media, social media, search, newsletter, and app marketing.
• Highly detailed oriented and organized with keen ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in very fast-paced environment
• Ability to deal with multiple sources of digital content (agencies, vendors, internal teams)
• A passion for Discovery, television and the media industry
• Crisis management sensitivity skills with a clear sense of urgency to attend potential incidents
• Ability to work independently, often under tight deadlines
• A willingness to try new things; failing and failing quickly is better than not trying anything at all
