Responsibilities
Your New Role...
The WBD Streaming Program Management team is responsible for cross-functional coordination of the company’s highest priority programs, projects, and areas of strategic operational support, including critical product launches and monetization initiatives. Our global team leverages best-in-class project management methodology and business acumen to enable stakeholders across 20 workstreams to concurrently drive progress towards a portfolio of 100 initiatives. This highly cross-functional internship will focus on driving progress across priority programs and developing operational efficiencies within the WBD Streaming Program Management Office. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the direct-to-consumer streaming industry, a demonstrated interest in project management, and will be comfortable working across a variety of platforms and systems to successfully execute high visibility projects that further cement WBD’s standing as the greatest entertainment company in the world.
Your Role Accountabilities…
• Support a team of Project Managers, adding value to a portfolio of programs and projects through detailed note taking, action item identification, project plan development, Gantt chart creation, and stakeholder management.
• Work with project teams to establish and continuously manage progress towards key project milestones for internal clients throughout Warner Bros. Discovery.
• Synthesize project status, including risk and issue management, into executive reporting and powerful visual presentations for senior stakeholders.
• Multitask across diverse business groups and dynamically learn fundamental elements of new business areas and technological constructs as needed.
• Evolve internal platform foundational systems and frameworks to suit the needs of specific clients and projects, improving and developing new templates.
Qualifications and Experience…
• Must be currently enrolled as a student (proof of enrollment will be required if selected for an internship)
• Must be a first year MBA candidate
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States
• You are interested in working for a streaming platform and operating at the crossroads of media and technology.
• You are interested in exploring a career in program management within the media industry.
• You have experience owning and driving the success of projects from ideation to delivery.
• You possess the interpersonal skills to build trusted relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and coordinate activities across disparate teams in a remote environment.
• You have the creative ability to customize processes to meet the requirements of varying environments, including working with an array of project and portfolio management tools and technologies.
• You can quickly adopt core project and portfolio management tools, including Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Jira, Monday.com, etc.
• Solid knowledge of PC/Mac, Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
• Highly organized and self-directed; able to keep on an assigned track with minimal direction
• Strong presentation development skills (design and verbal)
• Solid knowledge of social media with clear understanding of marketing principles
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic research methods and strategies preferred.
About the Internship Program...
• Our Summer 2023 program is a 11-12 Week Internship that will run from Monday, June 5th through Friday, August 25th, 2023
• Full time-schedule (35-40 hours/week) required
• Company-issued computer or secured remote access provided for the duration of the internship program
• Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive salary. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.
