Full Time Job
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing network programming strategies. We are seeking a strong leader, as you will act as liaison for the programming team with internal departments. The right candidate will have a background in network research with a solid understanding of scheduling and programming strategy. You will provide insight into television viewer habits and the ever-changing media landscape for the purposes of designing and implementing highly effective schedules.
Responsibilities
1. Collaborates with program planning leadership in creating, planning and implementing long-term and short-term scheduling strategy
2. Envisions and executes ad hoc analysis to drive decisions that strengthen network strategy
3. Monitors all dayparts for audience performance, and consults with research department to help design and build the network schedule to maximize ratings
4. Maintains and tracks trends in premiere hours across categories to reveal year over year patterns and changes
5. Collaborates with media strategies, press, digital, and ad sales to set network priorities and communicate changes as needed
6. Communicates and tracks scheduling strategy and premiere dates to finance to stay within programming budget
7. Manages the development of annual upfront, ad-hoc stunts, marathons and other scheduling ideas to both maximize revenue generation and ratings performance
8. Provides scheduling team with delivery dates, content detail and inventory information for integrated episodes and stunts
9. Helps execute 360 strategies with digital and HG Go partners
10. Manages Renewal Pipeline including formal notification process
11. Screens and evaluates pilots, series, and specials to recommend an air plan
12. Strategically plans rollout of franchise series
13. Works on ad hoc projects as needed from management
Requirements
* Must love TV
* Must be able to work collaboratively with team members
* Expert level experience with Nielsen Metrics. Prefer candidate with a background in network research and/or scheduling
* Master of both Microsoft Office Suite and G Suite Products
* Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills
* Analysis and troubleshooting skills
* Capacity to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Typically requires BS/BA or MS/MA/MBA or other graduate degree in related discipline and at least 7-10 years of experience, including a supervisory or lead role
* Must have the legal right to work in the United States
