The Job:
CNN International offers an opportunity to experience, learn, and be exposed to its programming and newsgathering cycle. This role will require an interest in business news and broadcast journalism plus knowledge of social media.

Responsibilities

The Daily Responsibilities:

Interns will gain experience in the production of the First Move with Julia Chatterley program and see how show ideas are developed, how footage is gathered and edited, the script-writing and guest-booking process, and how the program is built from an editorial and production perspective.
• The intern will also book, research and greet show guests and contribute in future planning meetings.
• Interns will also learn how to use CNN's archive to locate video for packages and sound bites for air.
• Interns will help share the content across multiple platforms including social media.
• This internship will offer a great opportunity to strengthen your research and communication skills.
• Intern schedules vary, but include mornings (the show airs 9-10aET)

The Essentials:
Candidates should be passionate about news, self-motivated, able to multitask, have a good attitude, and be able to function well in fast paced, high volume environment.
• Must be currently enrolled as a student (proof of enrollment will be required if selected for an internship)
• Must be a rising Junior, Senior, or Graduate student (18 years or older)
• Must have at least a 3.0 GPA
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States

About the Internship Program:
• Our Spring 2023 program is a 12 Week Internship that will run from Monday, February 6th through Friday, April 28th, 2023
• Part time-schedule (16-24 hours/week) required
• Company-issued computer or secured remote access provided for the duration of the internship program
• Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive salary. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.

Interviewing will take place from September through early December. A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation for roles that will be performed in New York City. The rate listed is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Rate: $19 per hour USD.

Qualifications
