Position Description
Position Title: Senior Analyst, D2C & Data Analytics (India)
Division: APAC Insights and Analytics
Location: Mumbai
Reports to: Data Transformation Manager APAC
General Summary
The Insights & Analytics APAC Hub delivers actionable and accessible insights about Discovery's products, content and consumers, which enables data-lead decision making that drives profitable growth in subscribers, audience and revenue.
Reporting to the Data Transformation Manager APAC, the Senior Analyst is to lead insights and performance management to support growth of D2C in India. The role works across Content, Digital/D2C Product, Commercial Development/Strategy, Marketing and Ad Sales to provide hands-on support to understand our customers, provide deep insights on viewing behaviour, measure the success of acquisition and retention activity, and deliver actionable information that drives decision making.

Responsibilities
D2C Performance Management, Reporting and Insights
• Develop reports/dashboards for regular performance management and the analysis of key business activity
• Provide hands-on support and liaise with key stakeholders in the D2C business for complex business queries and insights
• Ability to work across different areas including strategy, budgeting, growth planning, brand management, CRM / social content management, SEO / organic media and conversion optimization, local partnerships and offline media purchasing, pricing and proposition
Data Management and Analytics Implementation
• Work with project management, global / APAC D2C teams and other key stakeholders to support the implementation of analytics and reporting tools that meet local requirements
• Support testing processes and ensure that data which feeds into international/global reporting tools accurately reflect product performance, and are aligned with market/global standards
• Be able to collaborate with core technical specialists as well as generalist / less technical functions
• Combine data from multiple tools to generate enhanced insights
Brand, Subscriber and Market Intelligence
• Work with APAC team to manage brand tracking resources using in-house survey tools / external data vendors
• Create subscriber engagement surveys / tools
Requirements
• 3 years of relevant analytics / reporting experience in digital products (websites, apps, etc.)
• Experience of web analytics (e.g. Adobe, Google) and dashboarding technologies (e.g. PowerBI and Tableau) is essential
• Knowledge of the media & entertainment industry is highly valued, especially experience with D2C products
• Ability to problem solve and provide actionable insights to address key business issues using a range of data sources, tools and information resources
• Some programming skills in SQL and Python is not essential, but will enable this role to take it to the next level
• Excellent communication and business-facing skills, both written and verbal
• Results and consumer oriented with clear ownership of the role as well as accountability for hitting targets
