Research Analyst

This is a Full Time Job

We are seeking candidates for the position of a Research Analyst in our Silver Spring, Maryland office.

Responsibilities:
1. Create and distribute weekly, monthly and quarterly reports regarding the performance of Discovery Channel.
2. Design and implement Nielsen analyses to understand the Discovery Channel audience dynamics, including key characteristics and viewing behaviors.
3. Maintain program tests databases.
4. Input schedule information for Nielsen ratings program database for select networks.
5. Ad hoc ratings analyses as required.
6. May work on special projects. Must be able to multi-task and prioritize. Strong communication skills and organizational skills are essential. Familiarity with MS Office required.

Requirements:
* Bachelor’s Degree
* Solid quantitative skills through job experience or coursework
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Strong project management skills
* Customer focused with the aim to super-serve the needs of internal clients and the research team
* Excellent attention to detail; must demonstrate ability for consistent accuracy/proofing
* Passion for TV, media, factual and lifestyle entertainment programs
* Passion for research
* Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills. Data manipulation and automation in Excel a plus.
* Familiarity with TV and Online Metrics (Nielsen, comScore Media Metrix, etc.) a plus
* Legal right to work in the U.S.

This is a full-time, temporary position in our Silver Spring, Maryland office.
