Overview
Current Warner Bros. Discovery employees will be given preferential consideration for this opportunity. This position will be posted for five business days.
This position is critical to the continued success of the Food Network and HGTV publicity teams’ efforts.
The teams work on every title and all of the brands’ priorities and corporate initiatives; we interact with
all of our talent and are often part of a consumers’ first interaction with our content, via the media
placements we secure.
Responsibilities
To include but not be limited by the below:
· Support Group Senior Vice President, Senior Vice President with travel, calendar management
and expense reports
· Support teams w press related activities - coordinate press mailings, assist on all day-to-day
network business and events
· Manage clip tracking and reporting including: Cision portal tracking for all publicity hits; act as
point for News Exposure & TV Eyes/clip ordering, Burrelles for print key-word tracking; manage
robust file of broadcast press clips in google drive, assist with impression tracking as needed
· Organize and distribute weekly breaks/clip report, daily media monitoring reports and other
pertinent press communications
· Research and update department press lists and editorial calendars, maintain and distribute
press release calendar across the team, assist in management of various internal distribution lists.
· Coordinate talent relations schedules as directed, managing weekly talent at a glance and talent
contact document
· Coordinate with talent travel team to book travel for talent press days/trips; Manage
talent per diems for press days/trips
· Maintain budget doc tracker, process invoices & POs and participate in day-to-day department
budget management (with SVP & VP oversight)
· Schedule monthly review of FN Mag with Hearst, coordinate book review across teams and
compile all notes to go back to Hearst
· Work with PR coordinator on managing all project status sheets
· Support SVP & VP on all awards submissions and tracking, as well as maintaining annual
calendar of awards dates (submission dates, nomination announcements, ceremonies, etc)
· Maintain PR department inventory closet storage
Qualifications
Education: College degree or equivalent experience preferred
Experience: 1-3 years administrative/executive secretarial experience in a fast- paced office
environment preferred
Equipment: Computer literacy with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as GSuite.
Skills/Abilities:
? Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
? Attention to detail a must
? Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively
? Has ability to take on more responsibility as the departments evolve/grow
? Ideal candidate must effectively troubleshoot with an eye toward anticipating, identifying and
forming strategic solutions
? Occasional overtime may be required, (specifically timed to events, festivals, upfronts just to
name a few)
Physical Requirements and Work Environment – primarily standard office environment, sedentary work
– also inclusive of out of office event/onsite logistics
