The Role
Discovery Education builds strategic partnerships with school districts to transform teaching and learning through the implementation of engaging standards-based K-12 digital curriculum, delivery of intensive professional learning, and engagement within the global community. The Partner Engagement team plays a critical role in achieving our goals of providing the best customer experience in education and demonstrating the educational impact needed to retain and grow our district partnerships.
The Manager, Partner Engagement Activation facilitates effective internal and external activity & communication, and clearly demonstrates the educational impact of Discovery Education’s services, supporting the Partner Engagement and Community Teams with the activation of programming, thought leadership, and support of the instructional implementation of our products.
The role of the Partner Engagement Activation Manager is to ensure deep usage of Discovery Education products and services and to foster a strong sense of customer brand loyalty among community members at all levels, including teachers, principals, and superintendents. The Partner Engagement Activation Manager represents the power of Discovery Education’s professional learning community as an integral part of the company’s “partnership” approach with districts, regions and state customers. The Partner Engagement Activation Manager will support the development, nurturing and growth of the depth of Discovery Education partnerships at the local and regional levels, creating, leveraging, and delivering programs that encourage deep and meaningful engagement with our products, services, and global community.
Responsibilities
1. Support the Partner Engagement teams in executing programming specific to regional and/or state-level strategic plans that increase brand awareness, drive product usage and create an active and engaged group of community members
2. Collaborate with Discovery Education’s Community team to integrate programs, events, professional learning opportunities and communications that align with regional and/or state-level strategic plans
3. Ensure intentional integration of Corporate Educational Partnerships programming into regional and/or state-level strategic plans
4. Develop and execute regional conference strategy and events to support the successful implementation of Discovery Education services at the regional level, working closely with marketing and partnerships teams to ensure success
5. Track the on-going progress and success of the programs on a regional/state level based on program goals, making adjustments to maximize involvement
6. Develop reports and merchandising communications to be shared internally and with district/region/state partners to demonstrate the impact of programs
7. Identify and work closely with members of the community to encourage their advocacy and support their efforts that enhance the regional and/or state-level strategic plans
8. Identify and work closely with key members of the community to provide support for their local initiatives and encourage their advocacy
9. Design, support and deliver professional learning events focused on Discovery Education products and services
10. Present at Discovery Education events (in-person and virtual) as well as local, state and national conferences - responsible for knowing all functional and educational aspects of all Discovery Education products and services
11. Collaborate with the extended community team and internal and external evaluation teams to continually measure and assess the health of the Discovery Education Community
12. Encourage and collect feedback from customers and share internally to better inform our products and services
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
* 5-7 years of experience in K-12 education and/or account management
* Teaching, instructional coordinator/specialist, or administrator level experience are a plus
* Knowledge and experience with digital media and demonstrated understanding of the changing role of digital media in learning
* Strong PC or iOS skills, with a high level of proficiency in Excel, Word, and web 2.0 platforms
* Knowledge of Internet concepts (bandwidth, video streaming, etc.)
* Extremely well organized and detail oriented, with strong project management and analytical skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Must be proactive and excel in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
* Candidate must be willing to travel (~60%)
* Must have the legal right to work in the United States
