The Operations Manager for Discovery Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) will support the global DTC business in strategy and operational reporting, and report into the SVP, FP&A of Global Digital. The Discovery Direct-to-Consumer portfolio includes a number of businesses that focus on key consumer passion groups, including Discovery’s Go TV Everywhere product, Motortrend, Eurosport Player, Discovery Kids, Discovery Play, and the GolfTV/PGA Tour business. The role will be based in NYC and will require occasional travel.
Responsibilities
1. Work directly with senior executives across DTC to regularly report on operational KPIs
2. Partner with key stakeholders to standardize and automate operational KPIs that align with business goals
3. Evaluate new business models and opportunities
4. Clearly define and narrate business goals and long-term strategy
5. Project manage key initiatives across DTC in addition to ad hoc projects
Requirements
* 5 years of work experience; experience in strategy consulting preferred
* Exceptional ability to create clear narratives for presentations (expert at powerpoint)
* Proficient with Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
* Excellent written and oral communications skills including experience developing presentations for senior leaders
* Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environment with quickly evolving, often ambiguous or uncertain, business goals
* Experience with advertising-based business models or subscription based models, especially in media, is highly preferred
* Must have the legal right to work in the United States
