Digital Platforms Coordinator - Dge
Help drive international licensing business by supporting consumer, digital products, and eCommerce businesses by executing best-in-class marketing campaigns across Discovery family of networks.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about building digital engagement that customers love and has experience building innovative marketing campaigns that relate to today’s audiences. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams to design, build and roll-out, and optimize marketing efforts that deliver the company’s vision and strategy.
Responsibilities
Digital & Social Marketing
1. Support digital & social marketing efforts for DGE lifestyle brands, digital products audiences & eCommerce Sites.
2. Execute digital marketing campaigns across Email, FB, IG, Adwords, Influencers etc.
3. Day-to-Day updates to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and other social platforms
4. Community outreach
5. Insights and reporting
6. Execute page and post promotions to meet audience growth goals
eCommerce Marketing Support
1. Develop breakthrough digital marketing strategies and promotion concepts for licensees, retail partners and tie into networks and ad sales to support DGE tentpole initiatives.
2. Support efforts for eCommerce businesses
3. Support vendor relationships and payments
Marketing Content Generation
1. Product Photography
2. Shopper Content (unboxing videos, quizzes & activities, reviews)
3. eCommerce Site Graphics (working with design teams)
4. In-App Content Generation (ex. Discovery Adventures)
Support DGE Marketing Objectives
1. Find ways to connect marketing efforts between DGE, network, ad sales partners to maximize product sales at retail.
2. Evaluate promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree required, with concentration in marketing and a passion for technology
* Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (photoshop, illustrator, Dreamweaver and InDesign).
* Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
* Solid understanding of non-traditional media platforms and content (FB, IG, YouTube, Social Management tools etc.)
* Minimum of 1 successful year of brand or consumer products marketing experience.
* Ability to multi-task and manage simultaneous deadlines in a department that serves many time zones, cultures and business units worldwide.
* Strong organizational and attention to detail skills, good written and verbal communication and problem solving skills are a must.
* Ability to learn internal and external database systems to source photos, program details, competitive research insights, etc.
* Proactive thinker who will strive to see the team succeed and contribute to the overall strength of the department via their professional work ethic and optimistic attitude.
* Knowledge in the technical area of television or licensing a plus.
* Ability to work effectively across an organization
