This digital-savvy individual is responsible for developing and aligning consistent promotional messaging to overall adoption and consumption of the company’s TVE and Direct to Consumer apps, social platforms, affiliate and partner platforms as well as traditional linear viewing for Discovery’s portfolio of US Hispanic brands. He/she will be the main point of contact with on-air, creative, media planning, programming, social, affiliate, ad sales, research and product teams to deliver against content consumption KPIs including increasing the overall consumer base, driving engagement, and increasing time spent. The ideal candidate understands the kinds of content that drives traffic and virality and knows how to leverage social media content to generate demand for our linear and digital product portfolio. This role is also responsible for consumer events, media buys, barters and partner marketing initiatives. Requires a self-starter, detail-oriented, organized and assertive individual with excellent communications skills who thrives in fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
Responsibilities
1. Manage and execute all US Hispanic paid media buys. This includes engaging internal and external agencies for media buying strategies, creative development based on insights, trafficking of assets as well as analyzing results in real-time to optimize against most effective assets and investments.
2. Supervise the development of creative assets for all off-air marketing efforts; including key art, ads, signage, event materials, etc.
3. Responsible for home page merchandising of all US Hispanic apps (Go Apps) including key promotable selection, overseeing development of creative assets while leveraging analytics to optimize content consumption.
4. Tasked with development of a user-retention strategy including deployment of overall notification strategies including push and in-app messages, e-blasts and promo messaging (on-air, in-app and via social media)
5. Create social media strategies and content aligned to app campaigns and content pushes
6. Develop innovative advertiser extensions within the Go apps including custom playlists, sweepstakes, etc.
7. Identify, monitor, measure and evaluate the success of these actions against critical KPI’s.
8. Optimize app store descriptions, videos and creative assets on an on-going basis
9. Create monthly promotional toolkits to share with key partners including promos, descriptions, social posts, content clips, etc.
10. Identify and negotiate barter opportunities.
11. Ensure two-way consistent communication with internal partners to identify opportunities to leverage company assets effectively
Requirements
* 3-5 years experience in digital and consumer marketing, ideally specializing in video content distribution and/or on-line retail
* Strong knowledge of Google analytics and overall understanding of how to gather data and quickly convert it into actionable strategies
* Great communication skills and ability to effectively articulate concepts and strategies seamlessly to stakeholders, colleagues, agencies and vendors.
* Detail-oriented and organized with keen ability to handle multiple
o projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
* Demonstrated creativity and ability to work across multiple brands while ensuring each brand maintains its unique voice and tone.
* Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
