Overview
Digital Account Specialist
Responsibilities
• Develop strategic media plans based on to clients' marketing goals.
• Optimize campaigns for full delivery by monitoring daily delivery of all campaigns running all Discovery brands and associated networks.
• Interface with key stake holders including agencies, other sales offices, Marketing, Research, and Creative Services departments.
• Fulfill RFP and process insertion orders, secure creative & inventory by deadline and manage digital production.
• Assist Account Executive with prospecting new accounts through trade materials, media publications, on-line research.
• Help create external facing sales materials for clients.
• Manage presale and post-sales operations ensuring on-time start.
• Work with ad agencies, clients and internal sales team to gather advertising campaign assets.
• Prioritize and communicate needs with Account Executives, managers and internal departments.
• Partner with Sales Assistants and other Digital Account Specialists on billing, invoicing, accounting adjustments.
• Develop post-mortem of major campaigns – detail delivery, successes, and areas of improvement.
• Troubleshoot campaign delivery issues and correct any under/over delivery.
• Provide clients with weekly updates on campaign progress with commentary.
Qualifications
• Bachelor degree in a numerical discipline or equivalent years of analytical experience.
• A minimum of 1 year(s) of professional experience, preferably within digital media, advertising sales or media planning/buying.
• Ability to understand and interpret trends and react with strategic/tactical changes.
• Strong analytical, communication and time management skills.
• Good technical skills and knowledge of MS office, specifically Excel.
• Knowledge of industry technologies (Ad serving, Operative, Salesforce). Basic understanding of DFP and Freewheel a plus.
• Ability to work face-to-face and electronically (e.g. telephone, e-mail, IM, social media).
• Ability to work under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to work with a diverse team in numerous marketplaces.
Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
