Reporting to the VP, Data Strategy and Advanced Audience Platforms, the Data Science lead will serve as key member of DCI’s Advanced Advertising (Engage) sales and product team. The Data Science Lead will be an active team member and support key campaign activities such as lookalike modeling and target expansion. Data science will play an integral part in continuing to evolve the Engage product and this role will be on the front lines of building out our data science capabilities. This role will also serve as a subject matter expert and owner of understanding how predictive modeling can be used to find the best schedule for a brand’s target audience as well as working with external vendors to utilize algorithms to support yield optimization.
Responsibilities
1. Develop innovative data science solutions that utilize statistical modeling, machine learning, forecasting, and optimization to support Engage campaigns and product development
2. Utilize a variety of rich data sources such as transactional, web data, social data, emails, and streaming data. Identify and evaluate new data sources that improve model performance
3. Mentor the team in various predictive modeling and machine learning approaches. You will be hands-on and responsible for project delivery
4. Identify data science opportunities that deliver business value. Educate both internal and external business partners to drive implementation and measurement
5. Provide technical leadership on latest big data technologies and adoption of new analytical tools
6. Manage project priorities and ensure timely delivery. Build and document model development, review, and deployment processes
Requirements
* Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in analytics and data science
* 2 years of experience with conducting analysis in R, Python, SAS, or similar analytical languages
* Graduate degree in a quantitative field (statistics, computer science, mathematics, or economics)
* Experience with working in cloud based environments like AWS a plus
* Deep knowledge of a variety of statistical data mining methods including: linear and logistic regression, machine learning algorithms, experimental design and statistical graphics
* Familiarity with relational databases and SQL
* Experience with data visualization techniques and concepts
* Must have the legal right to work in the United States
