Full Time Job
The Pricing & Planning Coordinator for Discovery Digital is responsible for review and approval of digital media plans, including inventory and revenue analysis across the entire Discovery Digital portfolio of properties. The Coordinator will also need to produce ad hoc reports and interact regularly with a cross-functional team of internal stakeholders, including Ad Sales, Operations, Marketing, Editorial, Research and Finance.
This role may sit in either our Chicago or NYC office.
Responsibilities
1. Review of media plans, products and opportunities to address ad sales demand and internal budgeting efforts.
2. Manage daily inventory and media planning requests and ad hoc reporting of revenue across network and product portfolio.
3. Coordinate with Marketing, Solutions, Programming/Editorial, and Audience Development teams to create proactive sales opportunities across multiple networks and verticals.
4. Manage sponsorship opportunities, forecasts and reservations, across portfolio for use by convergent sales teams.
5. Manage Digital Pricing/Planning cost center, including purchase orders (POs), budgeting, and vendor relations for third-party ad servers, research partners and other vendors.
6. Oversee Digital Pricing/Planning shared inbox and delegate correspondence and follow-ups to appropriate team members and partners across Discovery Digital.
Requirements
* Passion for Digital Media and the online advertising business.
* Quick learner, as candidate will require a mastery of our System(s) and processes within a few months of hire.
* Comfortable communicating on phone and in email with Sales and Management staff members.
* Expert at manipulating, analyzing and reporting on large data sets using a multitude of disparate data sources and tools.
* At ease working in fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
* Ability to prioritize workload and meet tight deadlines.
* System Knowledge:
o Microsoft Excel (essential)
o Microsoft Powerpoint (preferred)
o Order Management and Ad Serving Systems, including Operative One, Salesforce, Freewheel, Dart for Publishers (DFP) etc. (essential)
o Analytics and/or 3rd party measurement platforms such as Google Analytics, You Tube Analytics, Facebook Analytics, Comscore, Nielsen DAR, etc.
o SAS Enterprise Guide and other DMP interfaces (preferred)
* A minimum 1yrs experience in online media environment with strong working knowledge of online advertising industry.
* Bachelor’s degree required.
* A command of mathematics and/or statistical modeling is preferred.
* Must have the legal right to work in the United States
