Analyst- Myevents
Our Team
The Data & Strategic Insights team enables a holistic 360 view of the consumer and content for the entire Discovery organization. The team leverages a central research model with shared data and analytics services that can be accessed by all consumer-facing business functions. Using big data platforms, data warehousing and business intelligence technology, audience data, advanced analytics, data science, visualization, and self-service analytics, this team creates a shared, cohesive language with standardized data, metrics, and reporting to enable a global research community.
The Role
Working in conjunction with the Research Manager, the Research Analyst of myEvents is responsible for myEvents process for Discovery’s domestic portfolio. This position will be responsible for entry and maintenance of myEvents.
Responsibilities
1. Responsible for entering and maintaining myEvents system for multiple networks which includes: telecast line-up, daily/weekly proofing, weekly data release and monthly finalization.
2. Maintain company’s proprietary myEvents macros.
3. Write, edit and maintain myEvents training documents.
4. Act as a company liaison to Nielsen regarding all aspects of myEvents.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s in Business, Analytics, or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of demonstrated skills and experience
* 1-3 years professional experience
* Experienced with television audience measurement systems including Nielsen and MultiTrak
* Thorough understanding of media industry topics and trends
* Familiar with relational database technology
* Must have the legal right to work in the United States
