General Summary
The Ad Sales Executive is the main point of contact for the sales reps in The Netherlands and Flanders and responsible for getting spot & non-spot campaigns on-air and/or online and consults the internal stakeholders when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
• Be the main point of contact for DPG Media and Ad Alliance to ensure all commercial request are followed up flawlessly on all platforms where we offer (ad) sales opportunities
• Be the intermediate between the sales reps and internal stakeholders within Discovery Networks
• Manage the process of allocating required commercials minutes per feed and optimizes this balancing act in order to optimize revenue
• Monitor channel’s airtime usage, commercials vs. programming and other on air communication. Report back to Director Ad Sales and channel Directors
• Liaise with channel management teams (programming and media planning) and BSO in London on a daily basis within the process of yield management, to ensure channel consistency and secure channel performance
• Be r esponsible for B2B marketing and managing the B2B marketing budget
• Inform and update the sales reps with relevant channel and/or programming updates to optimize sales potential
• Inform and update stakeholders within Discovery Networks of relevant developments and upcoming projects within sales reps
• Understand the yield management reports received from the sales reps and interprets those in such a way to incorporate this into day to day work and to challenge the sales reps
• Support the Director of Ad Sales in day to day work and special projects
Requirements
• Experience in audiovisual media
• Education – HBO degree level or equivalent
• Good knowledge of excel with excellent numerical and an analytical skills
• Skilled in creating powerpoint presentations and regular reports
• Experienced with yield management
• A deep understanding of TV ratings and the process of TV ad sales
• Familiar with the challenges of a commercial Television broadcaster
• Knowledge of how a media sales house operates and what's required
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of people
• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Able to make independent decisions on yield issues and day-to-day urgencies
