Search for Clothing Production Coordinator jobs in Los Angeles-CA
We are looking for a highly creative, driven, detailed, and results oriented Clothing Production Coordinator. You will work directly with the Dirtybird Apparel & Design Manager to take approved designs and pre-production samples through final production. This person will bring their energy and passion for fashion and business to their job as the Dirtybird Clothing Production Coordinator to ensure that all product is delivered according to specifications, on-time, and within budget.
RESPONSIBILITIES
-Work with existing vendors and source new vendors to manufacture quality.
-Build, implement and drive production standard manual and vendor quality guidelines.
-Identify improvement opportunities in the production process. Collaborate with Tech, Buying, Design, and Pre-Production team to ensure that processes are in line with cross-functional teamwork flows & company initiatives.
-Assist in developing & scaling out company production calendars. Lead and drive team to successfully meet all calendar milestones; assist in troubleshooting daily Production issues with team members as they arise.
-Lead bi-weekly WIP Production meeting, communicating all production and delivery updates to cross-functional managers.
-Work closely with Apparel & Design Manager to execute strategic sourcing strategies. Ensure that sourcing strategy is in line with company's manufacturing needs and product initiatives.
-Facilitate and build strong vendor relationships w/ the company's overseas vendor base. Work closely & pro-actively with vendors to mitigate production quality issues, promote speed, monitor production guidelines and encourage vendor growth.
-Employ Financial Acumen by demonstrating an understanding of how work unit's performance contributes to the overall organization's financial results, i.e. always looking to find efficiencies and reduce cost.
-Always look to improve processes and communicate expectations for quality outcomes.
QUALIFICATIONS
-Education: Bachelors Degree
-2-3 years of production related experience within the garment industry
-Experience working in manufacturing, operations or supply chain
-Strong design aesthetic & understanding of the market
-Proven ability to work within a fast paced environment, meet deadlines and manage teams through change
-Ability to handle multiple projects with shifting priorities
-Ability to foster open communication up and down chain of command
-Highly developed interpersonal skills
-Ability to create CAD and tech packs
-Proficient in Microsoft Office & Excel
