What You'll Do
The HR Data Specialist will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the human resources information system, ensuring accuracy, and security of all employee data with a focus on time and attendance functions. This role requires technical assistance, ability to troubleshoot issues, and provide support for the department. Additional duties include maintenance of templates, training documents, and data entry while serving as the main point of contact for employees regarding time and attendance questions. Additionally, the person in this role will create and analyze reports. This role is on site only at our Los Angeles headquarters.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Generate and analyze reports
• Review and monitor employee timecards for accuracy and completeness
• Review and process complex employee data transactions
• Maintain compliance with HR, payroll, and state-specific policies
• Communicate effectively with a range of employees and managers to ensure timely submission and approval of timecards
• Collaborate with payroll to resolve any timecard discrepancies and ensure accurate and timely employee pay
• Troubleshoot system access issues, missing records, and data errors in the program
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold data integrity in all time & attendance processes
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee data
• Document current processes and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency
• Support general HR duties including onboarding, offboarding, recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and maintaining employee records
• Prepare and submit key annual compliance report
• Pull, tailor, and analyze reports on timecards, attendance, time-off requests, meal penalties, new hires, and terminations as required
• Maintain all forms of communication in person, telephone, email, Zoom and direct messaging
• Perform routine and repetitive tasks
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
• 3 years' work experience as a data processor and specialist, preferably in Human Resources
• Associate's degree; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Solid math and computation skills
• Intermediate to strong MS Office skills, including Word and Excel
• ADP Workforce Now knowledge is a must
• Alternative workweek schedule experience a plus
