How do I hire a Summer Intern - Operations? Dim Mak Records is seeking Operations interns whose role is to assist with and maximize the distribution and sale of music through online services. Applicants should be available to work out of our Downtown LA office 2-3 days for at least 16-20 hours per week for college credit.
Operations intern candidate should have knowledge of the Dim Mak brand, as well as of the electronic music community as a whole. Knowledge of electronic music and artists across all genres is a must, as well as having their finger on the pulse of major events, festivals, and releases outside of Dim Mak, news pertaining to the electronic community, etc.
Responsibilities:
-MP3 creation and uploads to Soundcloud and Hightail
-Collect and upload marketing drivers to Google Forms
-Metadata / label copy creation and maintenance
-Scan for and record retail wins on new release days
-Compile download and/or streaming sales numbers from our distributor's backend for weekly sales reports
-Help manage artist/release assets including masters, artwork, label copy
-Assist with setting up releases via distributor backends
Qualifications:
-Knowledge of DSPs (Soundcloud, Apple Music/iTunes, Spotify)
-Knowledge of EDM artists and genres (Dim Mak catalog a plus)
-Detail-oriented, organized
-Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Google Docs/Sheets
-Proficient with Google Drive and Dropbox
Requirements:
-Local to LA
-Enrolled in bachelor's program
-Receive school credit
-Commit to 2-3 days/week in office from 10am-6pm
