DIM MAK RECORDS is seeking a marketing intern. College credit is required. This position is unpaid, but parking reimbursement is provided. Applicants should be available to work out of our Downtown LA office 2-3 days a week.
Marketing candidates should know the Dim Mak brand and the electronic music community as a whole. Knowledge of electronic music and artists across genres is important. Having a finger on the pulse of major events and festivals, releases outside of Dim Mak, news about the electronic community.
Responsibilities:
-Directly support the marketing manager and marketing coordinator
-Assist coordinator with weekly campaign reports and marketing drivers
-Assist in the creation and upkeep of release timelines
-Write copy for social media posts, short blurbs, and descriptions
-Research new digital marketing opportunities and trends
-Assist with maintenance and optimization of properties such as SoundCloud and YouTube
-Track ticket giveaways and other social media contesting
-Brainstorming marketing creative content for ongoing/upcoming releases and tours
-Maintaining social media doc - tracking links, etc.
-Updating social media calendar/schedule
-Sourcing assets for social posts
-Assist Office Manager with office duties as needed (shipping, phones, etc.)
Requirements/Qualifications:
-Experience working with multiple social media properties (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Musically, YouTube, and SoundCloud)
-Local to LA
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-Must be capable of working within a team environment
-Strong organizational skills
-Computer proficiency in Google Docs, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
-Previous internship experience a plus
-Basic graphic design knowledge a plus
