DCP: Director, Ticketing Sales & Operations
Dick Clark Productions (DCP), the world's largest producer and proprietor of televised live event entertainment programming, is hiring a Director of Ticketing Sales & Operations to be responsible for leading ticketing sales strategy and execution across Dick Clark Productions' portfolio of live events. This role will drive ticket sales performance through pricing optimization, inventory management, sales analytics, and cross-functional collaboration while ensuring seamless execution throughout the ticketing lifecycle.
The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of live event ticketing, proven experience managing complex ticketing operations, and the ability to leverage data and market insights to identify growth opportunities and improve performance across a diverse portfolio of events.
As DCP values in-person collaboration and team cohesion, employees work onsite 4 days a week and 1 day remotely with a focus on maintaining a vibrant and inclusive culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy
• As the primary ticketing stakeholder at DCP, partner with the executive leadership team to develop, implement, and optimize ticketing strategies across all ticketed events, driving revenue growth, audience acquisition, and operational excellence.
• Lead the end-to-end ticketing lifecycle, including event builds, inventory management, pricing strategy, on-sale execution, reporting, financial reconciliation, and post-event settlement.
• Collaborate with ticketing platforms, venue box offices, promoters, and third-party vendors to manage event inventory, seat holds, ticket releases, access control, and dynamic pricing initiatives.
• Design data-driven campaigns, pricing models, and outreach plans to maximize live event ticket revenue and audience attendance by analyzing market trends, setting pricing models, and developing promotional campaigns.
• Monitor ticket sales performance, market trends, and consumer demand patterns, providing actionable insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
• Identify and implement process improvements, technology solutions, and operational efficiencies to enhance sales performance, reporting capabilities, and overall event profitability.
• Partner closely with finance teams to support event settlements by preparing ticketing reports, validating sales and fee reconciliations, interpreting ticketing audits, and ensuring financial accuracy.
Operations
• Oversee complex seating strategy and inventory allocation across all events, balancing public onsales with VIP, sponsor, artist, executive, media, production, and partner requirements while maximizing revenue opportunities.
• Manage all ticket holds and specialty inventory, including RTP, complimentary, house seats, sponsor allocations, artist and talent requests, ensuring accurate tracking, timely releases, and adherence to approved allocation strategies.
• Direct seating manifest development and optimization, coordinating cross-functional stakeholder requests and executing seat relocations, upgrades, and last-minute accommodations while preserving premium inventory and guest experience.
• Lead day-of-show ticketing operations in partnership with venue box offices, talent teams, credentialing teams, and event operations, resolving ticketing issues, managing will call and VIP fulfillment, and ensuring seamless guest entry.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive ticketing reports and inventory dashboards that track seating utilization, hold status, comp distribution, and ticket movement throughout the event lifecycle.
• Establish governance and approval processes for ticket allocations, complimentary tickets, and seat holds, ensuring accountability, financial accuracy, and consistency across all DCP events.
• Partner with production and venue teams to translate evolving production requirements into ticketing and seating adjustments, proactively communicating inventory impacts and executing changes with minimal disruption.
• Maintain expertise in ticketing technology, industry trends, and evolving consumer purchasing behaviors to drive innovation and continuous improvement across DCP's live event portfolio.
Salary/Benefits
$120,000 - $150,000 /year USD
