BIG PICTURE:
We're looking for a killer short-form editor/producer who doesn't just cut clips - you tell stories in seconds. If you obsess over retention graphs, replay moments in your head before you sleep, and believe a 30-second video can hit harder than a movie trailer… keep reading. We're looking for someone who can take that same heart and translate it into powerful short-form content that grabs attention instantly and keeps audiences watching to the very last second. If you love blending internet culture, sharp instincts, and emotional storytelling to create videos people can't help but share, you'll fit right in.

Your edits will be seen by millions, shape culture, and set the standard for what great vertical storytelling looks like.
HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME:
• Turn raw footage into emotion-driven vertical stories (TikTok, Reels, Shorts)
• Build viral hooks in the first 1–3 seconds that stop the scroll
• Shape edits to maximize watch time, retention, and replays
• Add smart, tasteful polish: simple VFX, sound design, music, pacing, color - nothing flashy, everything intentional
• Create multiple edit variations of the same video to test hooks, pacing, and structure
• Study performance daily and edit with analytics in mind, not ego
• Collaborate closely with producers and creatives to level up every post
WHAT YOU HAVE:
• You deeply understand short-form storytelling
• You know how to manufacture emotion quickly - humor, tension, heart, surprise
• You can look at a clip and instantly know what the hook should be
• You understand why people drop off - and how to fix it
• You love experimenting, testing, iterating, and optimizing
• You care more about results than perfection

All things creative take place at our studio in Burbank, California.
WHEN THE MAGIC HAPPENS:
This is an on-call role, days and hours will vary depending on coverage and production schedules.
