Job Summary:
The Game Presentation Producer is responsible for the production of the in-park show and associated events for the Detroit Tigers and Comerica Park. Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to: Development and execution of in-game content (inning breaks, pregame ceremonies and the creation of home field advantage) for games and events as needed, such as Season Ticket Holder functions, luncheons, special ceremonies, and offseason interactive events.
Key Responsibilities:
• Produce live events integrating all production elements (i.e., lighting, music, video, PA, in-park and on-field entertainment, etc.), maintaining an emphasis on delivering a world class entertainment experience for Tigers fans.
• Produce ceremonies and special events for the Detroit Tigers and Comerica Park.
• Oversee PA Announcer, DJ and in-game host in game day execution of scripted elements and music.
• Write scripts for PA announcers, in-park hosts, ceremonies, promotions and interactive elements.
• Work with Gameday director & gameday crew in execution of all gameday elements as presented on the Comerica Park scoreboard.
• Meet with necessary Corporate Partnership and Marketing Managers and their clients, (if requested) to determine details of upcoming game nights and ensure needs are met while keeping fan experience at the forefront.
• Create entertaining season-long activations, for purpose of entertaining fans and generating revenue through sponsorship. Work with staff editors & producers in creating necessary video elements for all in-game activations.
• Maintain gameday format to ensure proper timing of all gameday elements, communicating this timing to all those impacted.
• Perform additional functions as directed or assumed on personal initiative.
Supplemental Job Functions:
• Other responsibilities involve coordinating many non-game events, including other sporting events, concerts, family shows and private events.
• Produce and contribute to digital content, including highlight videos, interviews, as well as short & long format storytelling.
• Perform other duties as directed.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications or related field. Experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
• Minimum 3 years' of live game day & event producing or relevant experience,
• Knowledge of broadcast control room and production environments.
• Experience with integration of multi-branded marketing and sponsorship environment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
• Exceptional organizational skills with superior attention to detail
• Ability to skillfully write scripts for public address announcer, in-game hosts, and other speakers as needed
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, demonstrating use of discretion and sound judgment
• Willingness to work flexible hours when required
• Ability to work in a team-based environment.
• Ability to deal with multiple senior staff in a demanding environment, often with tight deadlines, and flexibility with overtime.
• Ability to independently resolve issues and manage issues effectively.
• Maintain disposition in stressful and busy times.
• Ability to make decisions and exhibit sound and accurate judgment.
• Possess the highest integrity and ethical standards
Preferred Knowledge, skills and abilities:
• Experience with baseball environment and culture.
• Experience with entertainment marketing.
• Previous live event production experience preferred.
• Editing experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop)
