As a Power Squad & Cruise Control Member, you will assist the Game Operations & Promotions team on game day at Little Caesars Arena and Wayne State Arena.
You will work closely in all facets of in arena and game night presentation as well as brand marketing activations. What you'll be doing
PROMOTIONS
• Assist in the set-up, tear down and execution of all grassroots and community events
• Assist in the set-up, tear down and execution of all promotional footprints on the concourses at Pistons and Motor City Cruise home game nights
• Provide exceptional customer service while representing the brand
• Check promotional night inventory and other game related tasks
• Assist the Marketing Department with additional projects and events as needed
GAME PRESENTATION
• Assist the game presentation department, stage managers, and mascot with on-court activations, selecting contestants and preparing for timeout content
• High-energy and fan facing staff will comfortably perform in front of thousands of fans on game night
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and stressful environment
• Ability to follow directions, be a reliable teammate and take ownership of game responsibilities
• Special skills in dancing, b-boying, tumbling, stunting, cheering, gymnastics are a plus but not required
What we're looking for
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, nights, weekends and holidays
• Knowledge of basketball & The Detroit Pistons brand
• Awareness and understanding of the rules of the NBA
• You will be working on game nights and must be available for at least 80% of games to be considered for the role
• This individual should be currently living or have pre-arranged accommodations in or near the Detroit area and has access to reliable transportation
• Prior experience with event planning, event execution, performing for large crowds, and customer service is preferred.
• Ideal candidates should be self-motivated, organized, and detail oriented. Having excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, and strong work ethic is highly valued
• Adhere to all Detroit Pistons & Motor City Cruise guidelines and policies including wearing necessary PPE and appropriate attire/uniforms at all times while in the arenas
