We currently have an opening for a VP, Sales and Account Management. This position will be located in Manhattan, NY.
Position Overview
The VP, Sales & Account Management will lead a team that is responsible for regional sales strategy and planning for Deluxe Media. Deluxe Media is made up of five solutions groups (Creative, Localization, Content Services, Digital Distribution and SaaS Solutions). The VP, Sales & Account Management will manage a team consisting of sales directors, pre sales engineers and solution architects and will be responsible to drive sales opportunities and achieve revenue objectives.
This position requires an individual who can engage at the highest levels of an organization both externally and internally, as well as ''in the trenches''. Our ideal candidate is an inspiring team player, has outstanding communication skills, superior follow through skills, can build consensus among disparate groups, and understands Deluxe's technologies, formats, and workflows. This position requires an experienced perspective that can creatively find opportunities to add value to the industry, effectively navigate sales and negotiations, and advise senior business and client leaders.
Primary Responsibilities
• Establish overall strategy for East Coast sales efforts.
• Lead overall revenue target achievement for each solutions group.
• Lead identification, pursuit, and closure of larger sales opportunities and initiatives.
• Have a solid understanding of the client and market base and be able to succinctly translate requirements into sales wins
• Oversee and guide day-to-day management of sales tools, Salesforce CRM, forecasts, proposals/RFPs, and sales collateral.
• Closely work with multiple internal teams and facilities to identify, cross-sell, and close opportunities.
• Provide existing clients with sales support and locate new opportunities
• Be fully aware of the competitive landscape
• Have an extensive network of potential clients within the East Coast region
• Build ongoing senior relationships with key potential clients
• Proactively build, manage and deliver on account plans
• Effectively manage internal and external stakeholder relationships
Required Experience and Knowledge
The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, experience, and skill-set:
• 5 years of experience within a cross-functional technology and/or creative environment.
• Proven success in building revenue base
• Exemplary networking and client relationship management experience with all levels of management.
• Must be fully conversant with the technology, environments and workflows within the Broadcast and Media sector
• Possess the instinct of both a ''hunter'' and ''gatherer''.
• Ability to translate vision into action and to successfully steer others (internal and external) toward an agreed-upon outcome.
• The ability to think innovatively and to incorporate those ideas and concepts into the strategic planning for our client base
• Outstanding ability to build strong and lasting partnerships and foster teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
• Be able to articulate key industry and technology trends and apply them to the business of our clients
• Have experience of media asset management systems, broadcast workflow optimization, enterprise integration projects
• The ability to communicate and cultivate relationships with all levels of an organization and to work independently and as part of a team
• Understand encoding / transcoding, storage, digital file delivery, workflows, distribution, metadata management, analogue to digital transformations, media asset management and production IT infrastructures
• The ability to identify issues and barriers, develop alternatives and rapidly evaluate the alternatives to determine the most effective course of action
• Must have excellent organizational, verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills with a high degree of attention to detail
