We currently have an opening for a Video Technician. This position will be located in Moosic, PA.
SUMMARY:
• Will capture, edit, encode, transcode and quality assure audio and video program material for subsequent release.
• Will perform editing, encoding, and transcoding for digital clients.
• Will perform audio editing, conforming, synching and quality assurance for foreign territories.
• Will be responsible for machine and system configuration, connection and troubleshooting.
• Will be responsible for synching and conforming Closed Captions and Foreign Language Subtitles to digital files.
• Will be responsible for permanently backing up digital files for future use and archiving purposes.
• Must efficiently utilize various audio and video production tools (Final Cut Pro, Compressor, captioning software, audio editing software, encoders and transcoders.
• Must utilize sound audible and visual judgment during the performance of daily duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
• B.S. degree in communications, electronics or A/V technology related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 1-2 years experience in audio and/or video post-production environment.
• Individual must possess a fundamental understanding of digital audio and digital video signals, standards, machines and wiring.
• Individual must have experience with Non-Linear Editing and associated components. (Final Cut Pro, Compressor, Quicktime or comparable programs.)
• Strong organizational and computer skills are required (file systems, charts and network storage).
• Position is audibly and visually demanding as a significant amount of the job responsibilities include intensive testing for minor audio and video impairments and imperfections.
• Position requires constant change and adaptation, creative and active thinking is a must.
• Individual will work in multimedia production environment requiring little to no physical labor.
• On occasion, individual will move equipment that ranges from 5 to 40 pounds.
• Individual must be diligent and detail-oriented.
• Individual must possess solid oral and written communication skills.
