Technical Co-Ordinator, UK / Eire
POSITION SUMMARY
To ensure all film titles (digital hard drives and digital transmissions) are received securely to all Cinema Exhibitors that have booked the content throughout the UK and Eire. Second Technical lead for the UK/IE.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the management of all film bookings, ensuring all cinema bookings are delivered promptly, efficiently and securely.
Second Technical Lead for the UK/IE, leading on the mastering of many features and trailers, certification with the BBFC and managing high profile screening events.
Key liaison between UK Theatrical Sales Team, EMEA International Theatrical Post Production and DFS depot.
Maintaining stock records, keeping up to date information on all film titles, cinema site details, transport services and costs for services relating to the role.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ DUTIES
• Responsible for the logistical management of all film bookings made by the Sales Team.
• Second technical lead reporting to the Senior Technical Manager and Exec Director of Technical Operations.
Digital Hard Drive and Electronic Transmission Ordering
• Responsible for all digital hard drive ordering, content delivery and all keys ordered for digital titles.
• Responsible for electronic delivery transmissions ordered - ensuring all sites are cross referenced and kept up to date with all newly fitted sites.
• Recording digital services costs and relaying all information to EMEA Tech Ops, Theatrical Sales and Regional Sales department.
• Monitoring and enforcing security policies are in place while also liaising with FDA on high profile releases to maximize anti-piracy procedures
Technical Servicing
• Second Technical Lead for Theatrical, reporting to UK's Senior Technical Manager and EMEA VP of Technical Ops.
• Responsible for approving digital cinema masters, subtitling, audio description files, and the localisation of the UK / EIRE masters, working closely with D-cinema production houses.
• Using digital content delivery portals to provide digital suppliers content.
• Provide technical support on Premiers and other high profile screenings while working with the Marketing, Publicity and Promotion teams.
Logistical Management
• Organise all transport arrangements for outgoing and incoming films.
• Ensure all formats ordered are received by exhibitors, via regular or secure transport, dependent on specific release.
• Ensure KDMs are sent in a timely manner and deal with any missing bookings
• Monitor Film depot and transport providers to ensure a smooth, reliable service is provided for, always trying to keep costs to a reasonable rate.
Screening Programme Manager
• Ensure all Marketing and Publicity screening programmes are supplied content and keys.
• Keeping an accurate and detailed calendar of all talker/promotional screenings.
Admin Support & Record Keeping
• Handle & resolve Exhibition queries regarding bookings
• Responsible for creating and keeping a digital print inventory of all past and present titles.
• Keeping accurate and detailed accounts of all bookings made by exhibitors, so these can be referenced and audited easily by the accounts department.
• Management of the life cycles of titles, monitoring holdovers, future bookings and screening programmes.
KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
EDUCATION (OR EQUIVALENT) AND WORK EXPERIENCE
• Work experience within a logistical role.
• Experience within a technical role desirable.
• Degree desirable but not essential.
