Deluxe Digital Distribution (D3) provides white-label turnkey managed services to video service providers, programmers, online retailers, CE device manufacturers, and other IP-based, video-on-demand providers. Position Overview

As a member of the Engineering team, you will be responsible for identifying, defining, prioritizing, and refining product features for our content processing pipeline based on the needs set forth by internal and external stakeholders. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders and the Scrum development teams to deliver high quality software and be a key driver in helping to shape our platform product vision and roadmap. This position is based out of Burbank, CA or Solana Beach, CA.

Primary Responsibilities

- Develop and communicate the product vision.
- Fill and prioritize the product backlog and continually refine its contents as new requirements are added and existing ones are refined.
- Communicate the product vision at the beginning of every release and sprint so that the team understands and is equipped to realize that vision.
- Collaborate with the Scrum Master to run successful release/sprint planning sessions and sprint reviews/retrospectives.
- Ensure the functional quality of the software delivered by setting and evaluating acceptance criteria.
- Own and maintain product documentation, study competitive offerings, and anticipate customer needs.
- Be a leader of and enforce Agile practices (Scrum and Kanban) within the product development team.

Required Experience

- 5+ years experience in a product owner or product management role with related project management experience.
- 4+ years using Agile (Scrum/Kanban, TDD, Continuous Integration) software development methodologies, values, and procedures.
- Direct hands-on experience writing epics and user stories and refining them down to sizes that can be completed in a sprint.
- Excellent communication skills and a decisive leader.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with high attention to detail.
- High-level knowledge of distributed workflows and web platform architectures.
- Driven, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast paced, startup environment
- Creative and efficient in solving complex, time-critical problems.
- Experience with SaaS and multi-tenant products
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and someone who is passionate about quality, supportability, extensibility, and simple design.

Desired Experience

- Previous experience as a developer
- Experience working with digital media, workflow systems, transcoding and DRM technologies (Widevine and/or PlayReady)
- Experience with content management or digital asset management systems.
- Experience with No-SQL databases (Solr, MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase)
