We currently have an opening for a Post Production Supervisor. This position will be located in Burbank, CA.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for coordinating and trafficking all post-production projects and assets for the Burbank location, including but not limited to:
• Create and maintain edit bay and session schedule and publish for Producer team.
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and operation of all edit bays.
• Schedule and coordinate rental decks, outside equipment, exterior vendor post production work, cameras, etc. as needed.
• Maintain stock of all post production supplies (drives, raw stock, labels, etc.).
• Communicate and troubleshoot technical project issues with Design and Producer teams and work with Production and Engineering to formulate & implement effective solutions.
• Develop production breakdowns with all content Producers and keep an updated schedule in view of all production departments.
• Maintain a log of all revisions, internal and client, for all projects.
• Manage Creative Asset Specialists to ensure accuracy in:
• Element barcoding and entering/tracking asset through internal inventory system.
• Shipping prep and shipment tracking of all assets for department.
• Labeling of all physical assets and ensure file delivery structure adheres to set specs.
• Prep, upload/download and transfer of files to Producers /Designers (FTP, WAMNET, Wiredrive, etc).
• Firewire drive deliveries/inventory.
• Coordinate final deliveries for QC with Technical Designer and Producer Teams.
• Maintain production and archive server structure (coordinate with engineering).
• Adhere to MPAA & Deluxe security standards.
• Manage high security video ingests and server tracking.
• Manage & share Editors & Assistant Editors responsibilities including but not limited to:
• Prep bins, timelines, digitize/import source assets.
• Offline editorial & client routings.
• Online editorial, finishing & project QC.
• Facilitating project delivery and archiving.
• Manage all freelance editors.
• Manage Creative Audio Engineer:
• Commentary recording.
• Menu audio needs.
• Content mixing needs.
• Archive projects on a regular basis and de-archiving as requested..
• Manage all production reports:
• QC Reports.
• Production reports/Time Tracker for accounting.
• Ingest requests.
• Facilitating project delivery and archiving.
• Stock requests.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, experience, and skill-set:
• Must have at least 5-7 years' experience as an Assistant Editor, Editor, or Post Coordinator at a home entertainment creative house or equivalent position at a major studio.
• Proven ability to work quickly and independently, anticipating, recognizing, and resolving problems with minimal supervision.
• Must have an advanced understanding of HD and SD post procedures, file types, frame rates, transcodes, tech specs, etc.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Follow instructions and handle multiple projects in busy production environment.
• Must have the ability to contribute to the team environment.
• Must have demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and be extremely detail-oriented.
• Flexibility to work extended hours and/or weekends to meet project deadlines.
