Position: HR Generalist
Reports to: HR Manager
Location: Toronto, ON
Facility: Stereo D
We are seeking an awesome HR Generalist to contribute to the Stereo D team.
In a nutshell
Each member of the Stereo D HR team is pivotal to our success and contributes to our culture. As the HR Generalist, you are accountable for recommending and implementing HR best practices while working closely with individuals to anticipate their needs and become a trusted advisory.
Your day-to-day as an HR Generalist
• Continually look for opportunities to enhance culture and employee experience.
• Provides advice, guidance and support to the studio in areas such as employee relations, performance management, attendance, leaves, onboarding and HRIS administration.
• Responsible for maintenance of the HRIS including uncovering opportunities to enhance the system while ensuring accurate employee information is captured in real time.
• Communicate HR initiatives and updates and act as a point of contact for employees and management on HR related matters.
• Ensure weekly payroll is submitted in a timely manner with little or no future adjustments.
• Prepare and submit, OT reports, hiring status reports, and other reports.
• Participate on committees such as Health & Safety Committee and Social Events Committee to ensure compliance with regulations and to drive positive change.
• Assist in tracking of work permits; proactively following up with staff to ensure paperwork is received and/or submitted prior to expiration.
• Coordination and implementation of new projects & improve processes
What it takes
• People/customer focused with the ability to quickly build trust and credibility with employees at all levels.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or in Business Administration with a specialization in human resources management.
• Minimum of 2 to 3 years of HR experience in a similar role
• Tech saavy with systems and programs such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems, preferably Workday.
• Knowledge of Ontario Employment Law including Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, Labour Laws and Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Great sense of humor and interpersonal skills are a must
• Self-driven, autonomous, and detail-oriented and conscious of the importance of confidentiality.
• CHRP designation or working towards it, is an asset.
