Description
Position Title
Jr. Audio Editor
Position Summary
We are seeking a talented entry-level Audio Editor to join our in-house Audio Services team. Our ideal candidate should be a motivated audio editor that's looking to build a foundation in audio QC and servicing work. Candidate should be a quick learner, communicate well and have a critical eye for quality and detail. Some general audio post production experience is preferred, but not required. On-site training will be provided.
Main Duties
• Audio conforms to match picture utilizing the latest version of ProTools.
• QC of audio for synch and sound quality for both English and foreign dubbed versions
• Creation of final deliverable assets (Quicktime wraps, multi-channel BWAV files, etc.) and ingest into internal platforms.
• Updating delivery and quality trackers within apps such as Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
• Other duties as assigned.
What You Bring
• Certification from a technical school or university in post-production sound field (Pro Tools courses, post-production training, recording engineering, etc.) or relevant experience in audio and/or video post-production environment.
• Individual must possess a basic understanding of digital audio and video formats and frame rates.
• Individual must know basic operation and troubleshooting for PCs and Macs.
• Some experience with Pro Tools, Final Cut Studio, Word, excel, Mac and PC required
• Must possess a high level of written, verbal, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively and contribute to the team environment.
• Strong organizational and computer skills are required.
• Individual will work in a fast-paced, small team environment. Individual will be dealing directly with other technical, creative and operations employees on a regular basis.
• Must be willing to work day, night, or weekend shifts.
• Flexibility to work extended hours to meet project deadlines.
