Deadline: Night and Weekend Editor (Part time)
Deadline is hiring a seasoned desk editor with Hollywood and media journalism experience to help anchor our evening and weekend coverage. The Night and Weekend Editor will be tasked with writing and editing duties along with keeping the site current with all Hollywood trade and media industry breaking news. The ideal candidate must have strong writing, news judgment and newsgathering skills in a digital world who knows what stories belong in Deadline's news mix. This person will also be responsible for working with our A-list team of reporters, and editing their copy on the site; writing assigned stories, or finding and writing stories fit for the site; and curating Deadline's homepage. Must be proficient in digital journalism, competent in using social media for finding news, and be willing to roll up your sleeves to help a tight-knit team.
Part time work schedule:
Saturday and Sunday (noon-9 PM PT)
Monday and Tuesday (noon-9 PM PT)
Potential to grow into a full-time role.
